FUEL COST REDUCES FOR MARCH 2026
Zambia’s Energy Regulation Board has officially announced a reduction in fuel costs for several key petroleum products, including petrol, diesel, and kerosene.
These revised prices, which also affect aviation fuel, are scheduled to take effect immediately and will remain stable through the end of March.
Board Chairperson James Banda noted that this downward adjustment is primarily a result of the Kwacha’s strengthening performance against the American dollar.
By aligning domestic energy rates with favorable exchange rates, the government aims to provide economic relief to consumers and businesses.
This policy shift reflects the direct impact of currency stabilization on the nation’s essential commodity pricing.
