RTSA Announces Nationwide Reduction in Bus Fares
LUSAKA, Zambia – July 8, 2026 – Following the recent downward adjustment in fuel pump prices by the Energy Regulation Board (ERB), the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has officially announced a reduction in bus fares across Zambia.
The revised fare structure, which received approval from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, has been retroactively effective since July 6, 2026. The adjustments were finalized following consultations between the RTSA and the Bus and Taxi Owners Association of Zambia (BOTAZ).

The reductions vary depending on the route type, with some calculated by percentage and others by flat nominal amounts:
