President Hakainde Hichilema has thanked residents of Masaiti and Mpongwe Districts for turning out in large numbers to receive his message of love, hope and national unity.
In a message following his engagements in the two districts, President Hichilema said the gatherings provided an opportunity to reflect on Zambia’s journey, the progress made so far and the work that still lies ahead.
The Head of State said his administration remains focused on delivering development while acknowledging that more needs to be done to improve the lives of Zambians.
“We have delivered meaningful progress, even as we acknowledge that more remains to be done,” President Hichilema said.
He said the country’s future should be built on prudent leadership, responsible decision-making and honouring commitments made to citizens.
President Hichilema added that the support shown by the people of Masaiti and Mpongwe was a sign of trust in the Government’s agenda to build a stronger, more united and prosperous Zambia.
The President called for continued unity among citizens, stressing that national development requires collective effort, shared purpose and confidence in the country’s future.
His visit to Masaiti and Mpongwe comes as the Government continues engaging communities across the country on development priorities, public service delivery and national unity.
