Ministry Announces 2026 Health Workers Recruitment Exercise
The Ministry of Health has officially announced the commencement of the 2026 Health Workers Recruitment Exercise, inviting eligible candidates to apply for positions across the country.
According to the Ministry, applicants will be required to indicate their preferred district of appointment when submitting their applications. All applications must be lodged through the Zambia Postal Services Corporation (ZAMPOST) within the timelines specified in the official recruitment advertisement.
The Ministry has emphasized that applicants should carefully follow all application guidelines and ensure that the information provided is accurate and complete to facilitate a smooth recruitment process.
As part of the recruitment exercise, the Ministry has also introduced a mandatory application verification stage.
All applicants will be required to verify their application details at the District Health Office corresponding to the district where they submitted their applications. The verification exercise will take place from 1st September to 11th September 2026.
The Ministry has stressed that participation in the verification process is compulsory and forms an essential part of the recruitment process. Applicants are therefore encouraged to report to their respective District Health Offices within the stipulated period to confirm their application details.
Prospective candidates are advised to adhere strictly to the application requirements, submission deadlines, and verification schedule to avoid disqualification.
The 2026 Health Workers Recruitment Exercise is expected to strengthen Zambia's healthcare workforce by recruiting qualified professionals to support the delivery of quality health services across the country, particularly in underserved communities.
