Ngoma visits GBM

Special Assistant to the President for Politics Levy Ngoma represented the President on the occasion Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, aka GBM, was discharged from custody on medical grounds. Meanwhile paramount chief Mwine Lubemba Chitimukulu Kanyanta Manga II witnessed the occasion as well as Kasama PF MP Sibongile Mwamba, the daughter to the former defence minister and Kasama lawmaker. The Chitimukulu and Sibongile have lately come under heavy criticism by the opposition for seemingly not being vocal in condemning government in what the opposition termed government slowness in giving GBM bail and allowing for his evacuation abroad for specialist treatment. Meanwhile many opposition leaders and citizens alike have thanked President Hakainde Hichilema for the act of clemency extended to the opposition leader, citing this as an example of an act that exemplifies and typifies Zambia as a Christian nation. GBM was arrested and taken to court by the PF government over corruption charges which eventually got him convicted.
