Following the closure of recieving applications for CDF 2025 . Out of the 84 projects submitted by the 15 Ward Development Committe’s . The following is the list of areas of NEED / PRIORITIES that have been submitted to the District Technical appraisal Committe and later to the be deliberated by the CDFC for review and final recommendations . FAZ Unveils New Bus for National Teams

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has unveiled a state-of-the-art bus for Zambia’s national teams, funded through FIFA’s Forward Development Programme at a cost of $428,187.32. FAZ President Andrew Kamanga highlighted the bus as a major step in addressing logistical challenges and elevating the teams’ image. A Symbol of Progress Speaking during the unveiling ceremony at Football House, FAZ President Andrew Kamanga expressed pride in the association’s continued progress. “There could have been no better way to drive into 2025 than the way we are moving in the brand-new year. This project speaks to real football development as its impact is instant,” Kamanga said. He highlighted the persistent transportation challenges the teams have faced and emphasized that the new bus would elevate the teams' operations and public image. ISRAEL-HAMAS CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT

The latest on the Israel-Hamas ceasefire is that negotiators from both sides have agreed to a deal, mediated by US, Qatari, and Egyptian officials, which includes a three-phase plan. - Phase 1: Hamas will release 33 hostages, including women, children, and those over 50 years old, while Israel will release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, begin withdrawing from some areas, and facilitate a significant increase in humanitarian aid into Gaza. - Phase 2: Hamas is expected to free the remaining male hostages while Israel completes its withdrawal from Gaza. - Phase 3: This phase includes the return of deceased hostages and the beginning of reconstruction efforts in Gaza. The deal has been met with mixed reactions, with some experts viewing it as a necessary step towards peace, while others see it as a bad deal for Israel. The agreement is set to last for 42 days, and its success will depend on the willingness of both parties to abide by its terms.
