REVIEW/COMMENT :
1. Majority of people need goverment investment in the Education. This is attributed to the introduction of free education that has seen the enrollment rise from 28,000 to now over 42,000. Despite is constructing over 39 classroom blocks , having no child now sitting on the floor with new desks in all schools , There is still need for classroom space , toilets , and teachers houses .
2. With the past experience of the drought , the district has a critical shortage of water both in urban and rural areas . Despite us so far having done over 70 water points in last two years , the need is still there as we target is to invest in water resources for both people and animals in all 15 wards . Water will be a PRIORITY this year .
3. Despite doing well in expanding rural health care , with 4 new clinics built in the last 2 years ,health care provision is still a challenge . The fact that in the entire province , we are the only ones without a district hospital. Our desire is to continue constructing clinics in the rural wards while we continue to lobby for a district hospital
4. Road - with the allocated 3 Million in CDF 2025, we will now begin to grade feeder roads in all 15 wards . Despite having only 4 ward application for feeder roads . the CDF committe will have to identify other critical feeder roads to work on in 2025 also consideration that in 2025 we are procuring the last piece of yellow machine ( compactor ) . Meanwhile ,our lobbying continues for D769 to be tarred by central government.
5. In conclusion , with the final approval of the district intergrated development plan( thanks WWF ) we are hopeful that going forward our ward priorities shall be more strategic and aligned to the district strategic plan . With increased capacity to WDC , we are hopeful that the proposals coming from WDCs would speak to the real needs that are backed by evidence .
We remain committed to delivering development for all Zambians, Itezhi Tezhi is transforming everyday through CDF as envisioned by the UPND government and President Hakainde Hichilema .
